All my clients will have a consultation appointment with me to discuss your needs and preferences. I am a warm professional and will quickly put you at ease. You will be required to complete a pre treatment questionnaire. We will discuss any worries or questions you might have. I will be honest and give you my professional recommendation. I will ask you to complete a patch test and this is compulsory to ensure your safety. We can then set a date for you to return for your treatment.
It is important that prior to treatment you do not use alcohol or caffeine on the day.
On the day you will arrive in good time for your appointment. I will have prepared my working space according to health and safety requirements.
Your skin will be cleansed in the area we will be working on and I will use a numbing cream for your comfort.
It’s then time for the magic to happen!
You will be involved in designing the make up look you wish for me to create and this will be unique to you. The procedure will take 2-3 hours depending on your treatment.
After your treatment I will give you advice on how to care for your make up over the healing days.
The procedure is a 2 step process and includes a second perfecting appointment 4-6 weeks after your initial appointment. The reason for this is because during the healing process your skin may have rejected some of the pigment .. this is usual and expected.
The healing process
New make up day! Wow! They I look amazing! I am so happy!
Days 2-5 Oh no!! What have I done? My make up looks really dark! As your skin responds to having being opened it will be repairing itself and creating a scab. This gives a darker appearance than the finished look will be. Please don’t itch as you may scratch off pigment.
Days 5-10 My make up is looking patchy! The scab layer will start to flake away and your make up will look patchy at this stage. Don’t worry this is part of the healing process.
Days 10 -15 Where has my make up gone? I had got used to the darker make up!
Day 15+ OK phew my make up looks great but maybe it could be a little darker.
Weeks 4-6 2nd appointment/ Perfecting. This appointment is important to apply further pigment to perfect your make up. You will go through the same healing process as weeks 0-2. The end result will be a unique make up look created just for you.
To keep your make up perfect you may choose to return for regular refresher sessions.
